Shipping and contact information

Please contact sandspoultry@yahoo.com for information. Due to the temperature we have stopped shipping, it's been in mid 90's here.  Hatching eggs do not ship well in the heat of the summer.

Here is a little bit about how we package and ship out hatching eggs.

Your eggs are freshly collected within a day of shipping. Each egg is individually wrapped in one sheet of small bubble wrap. In the shipping box we put 2 layers of large bubble wrap on the bottom of the box, then a layer of packing peanuts, your eggs are then placed in the center and more packing peanuts are added between the eggs and the sides of the box, a layer of packing peanuts over the eggs, 2 layers of large bubble wrap is placed over the top and the box sealed. No newspaper or egg cartons are used in your package, we purchase all our packing material new and not recycled to insure the product gets to you in the best possible way.

We ship in standard size USPS shipping boxes either a #7 box ( 12 X 12 X 9) for a dozen plus eggs or a medium flat rate box for 1/2 dozen. The standard size boxes travel better thru the system than a non standard size box.

Unless requested by the buyer we ship in unmarked boxes. After talking with several USPS employees we were told it makes no difference in the inspection process (Xrays) as to how the box is labled. Also, the USPS uses automatated sorting and handling equipment, the machines can't read fragile, or this end up. There are reports that some packages marked fragile or hatching eggs that are damaged on purpose and this is why we ship unmarked. If you want your package labled please let us know and we will lable as you want.

Shipping charges will vary as to the weight and your zip code. Please include your zip code when you contact us.

If you have any questions on incubation or raising your hatch please feel free to ask us.
